The Government of Haryana, through the Citizen Resource Information Department, has taken a big step towards making welfare schemes more organized and digital by introducing the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). This initiative aims to create a complete and precise database of families in Haryana, to improve the delivery of schemes across the state.
Understanding Parivar Pehchan Patra
What is Parivar Pehchan Patra?
Parivar Pehchan Patra is a unique identification system for families in Haryana. Each family registered in the PPP database is assigned a unique ID. This ID becomes the key for family members to access various state-linked services and schemes, thereby ensuring transparency and ease of service delivery.
Eligibility for Enrolling in Parivar Pehchan Patra
- Permanent Families: All families residing in Haryana are required to enroll in PPP and will receive an 8-digit permanent family ID.
- Temporary Families: Families residing outside Haryana but applying for state services/schemes must enroll in PPP, receiving a 9-digit temporary ID, prefixed with ‘T’.
Enrollment Process for Parivar Pehchan Patra
Citizens can apply for PPP ID through Common Service Centers (CSC VLEs), Antyodaya SARAL Kendras, or registered PPP Operators across the state, without any application fee.
Updating Mobile Number in Parivar Pehchan Patra
How to Edit Information in Parivar Pehchan Patra and update mobile number?
The PPP offers two modes for updating information:
- Self-Update Mode: This can be done via the Mera Parivar Portal (https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in/). After entering the family ID, an OTP is sent to the head of the family’s mobile number for verification, following which data updates can be made.
- Assisted Mode: For those requiring assistance, updates can be done through the nearest CSC, SARAL Kendra, or PPP Operator.
Conditions for Editing Information in PPP
- PPP verifies data electronically and through field verification. Once a field is verified, it cannot be edited.
- Only a one-time change is allowed after the citizen signs and uploads the PPP document on the portal.
The Parivar Pehchan Patra initiative by the Government of Haryana is a monumental step towards digital governance. By providing a singular identity to families, the PPP system simplifies access to various welfare schemes, ensuring that benefits reach the rightful recipients promptly and efficiently. This move is expected to significantly enhance the delivery mechanism of government services and benefit millions of residents in Haryana.
