abc.gov.in is government website for ACADEMIC BANK OF CREDITS

Government of India has launched ACADEMIC BANK OF CREDITS which is an initiative by Ministry of Education. Students can create their ABC ID and then they can use their Digilocker account to link their academic credits to the ABC account.

abc.gov.in lets you store your credit from one course of institution and then use is as redeemable credit in another college or university. One can transfer their credit and use the student credit mobility option provided by the Academic Bank of credits.

Students who belong to certain eligible Higher education institutions can use the Academic bank of credits.

What is Academic Credit?

As per the official website, “Credit means the Standard Methodology of Calculating one hour of theory or one hour of tutorial or two hours of laboratory work, per week for a duration of a semester (30-15 weeks) resulting in the award of one credit; which is awarded by a higher educational institution. Credits for internship shall be one credit per one week of internship, subject to a maximum of six credits.”

You will have to register for the ABC account on the official website of www.abc.gov.in.

Visit the www.abc.gov.in website or use Digilocker to register for new ABC ID.
